Marguerite Wildenhain eared bowl
Curated Ceramics is immensely proud to present several original studio pieces by ceramics master Marguerite Wildenhain (1896 – 1985). Each was made contemporary to her instruction at Pond Farm artist colony and acquired by one of her students. An important historical piece of American studio ceramics.
This trophy form bowl was expertly thrown in stoneware, surface gently altered with vertical bands, then hand formed 'ears' were attached. The finished form is glazed in brown and blue.
