Warren MacKenzie candlestick pair #1
Pair of candlesticks commissioned with Warren MacKenzie in the late 1970s. Most that were made went into use at a Twin Cities church. The remaining candlesticks were sold to a private collector 40 years ago.
Curated Ceramics first encountered these two years ago and soon broached the topic with Warren and his daughter Tamsyn. They remember them being made but not which church commissioned them. So for now that detail is lost. Best each could remember, none others were ever made.
We are offering this first (of three) pair from this private collection. Each has one professionally restored crack on the flange. Neither repair is visible but under careful inspection with bright lights. I was unable to capture such detail with our camera.
Each measures approx 6 x 4.75 inches (D x H). Neither are marked (as was customary with commissions).
