Gary Erickson spiral
Spirals are the oldest of Gary's sculptural motifs. The little spirals of near-eggshell porcelain are relatively late in his work from China and seem to point to continuous/ongoing creation. Gary used these alone, but also in experimental groupings, or on the wall, sometimes even bound together with bamboo.
Spirals are the oldest of Gary's sculptural motifs. They are influenced by growth in nature.
Created during Erickson's summers living and working in Jingdezhen, the porcelain city of China.
Measures 5 x 3 x 3 inches (LxWxH)
