Warren MacKenzie substantial faceted vase with rich tenmoku glaze. Unmarked, as was common in his work from the 1990s and early 2000s. Minnesota-based Warren MacKenzie was one of the most influential American potters of the postwar era, bringing the Mingei tradition into a distinctly American functional pottery practice and shaping generations of Minnesota potters. Slight lean and repaired rim chip; priced accordingly.
